Symptomatic perception of patients affected by chronic chikungunya: a qualitative perspective

Objective: To understand the demands caused by chikungunya in chronic phase and their impacts on patients’ mental health quality of life. Materials methods: This is a qualitative study, performed from November 2019 to January 2020. Focus groups deep interviews were carried out. Then, Discourse Analysis was performed. Results: Chronic pain main clinical manifestation reported participants, being responsible for affecting aspects related life health. As psycological view, this study showed that also as one symptoms anxiety depression among research subjects. Conclusion: demonstrated how illness Chikungunya impacted subjects' perception domains Furthermore, we seek focus management disease holistic way, putting own awareness lives relevant level treatment.
